What is a Full Moon?
Full Moon – Is when the Moon’s illuminated side is facing the Earth and creates a complete circle shape. This moon phase cycle happens every 29.5 days. |
For exact times of the Full, Blue & Blood Moons see the Full Moon CalendarΒ or click here for detailed time and date information.
Where does the tour go?
We explore the waterfront along the Elizabeth River along with several historical locations and points of interest in the Olde Towne communities of Portsmouth & on special occasion Norfolk. Bring some spending money with you as we often make pit stops to local shops and establishments along the way.

When does the tour start and end?
Well that’s an interesting question…the moon rises at various times throughout the year, so the time of “best moon viewing” vary between the short and long day seasons. Generally between 6-9pm work best for our riding purposes. However, keep an eye on the sky and witness the ever-changing yet consistent shapes, sizes & colors of the moon from week to week, month to month and yearly.
